Digital Client Manager

Location: Leeds, UK & Hybrid Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a new addition to our core team. Our Digital Client Managers are integral to our offering and how we deliver for clients. Ideally you will have at least four years’ experience in digital marketing, either client side or in agency.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of the client services team, the key responsibilities of the Digital Client Manager are to:

  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key client contacts, often as their primary contact for day-to-day delivery.
  • Manage and triage requests from the client ensuring swift communication and action. 
  • Maintain the high client retention rate for the agency by understanding the key drivers for your clients’ satisfaction.  
  • Work alongside our clients and the Strategic Client Lead to understand their requirements and deliver solutions against those. 
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the brand and its customers, enabling you to ensure they are represented in all work. 
  • Ensure appropriate KPIs are established and monitored throughout to understand the impact our work is having. 
  • Create proposals as required and present these confidently to the client. 
  • Ensure all costs are tracked and monitored against all live projects and proposals. 
  • Keep track of and ensure the wider team is across potential business development opportunities with your clients and work with the team to convert these.  
  • Create clear and concise briefs for our freelance partners in order to create work that delivers impact. 
  • Manage the delivery of work to agreed budgets and timings and keep clients abreast of these. 
  • Be responsible for creating and communicating an on-going narrative in relation to our works progress and performance. 
  • Create and maintain up to date WIPs to ensure all team members understand the status of plans & projects.  
  • Create and maintain budget trackers for all client activity, being the voice internally for client profitability. Ensure the invoice tracker is up to date off the back of this. 
  • Diarise and plan for key meetings with your clients (on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis) and involve the wider team in presenting against objectives set for these.
  • Keep on top of marketing and industry developments, advising clients where appropriate and adding value with industry insight.  

Skills and Attitudes 

You’ll possess superb organisational, communication and relationship-building skills and be comfortable leading and advising clients on a day-to-day basis.  

You will have a strong background in multi-channel delivery, be comfortable using data to tell a narrative around performance and have an appreciation for the wider marketing mix. 

You must be:  

  • Organised and strong in project management, able to juggle multiple stands of activity at once. 
  • Excellent at communicating, clearly and concisely, both internally and externally. 
  • Be a team player and happy to pitch in with supporting your coworkers.   
  • Have an understanding of the paid media environment and preferably previous experiencing in managing it. 
  • Able to advise the client, bringing in the wider team to support at the right points. 
  • Great at building relationships with clients and navigating potential difficult conversations.  
  • Positive in their outlook and approach, passionate about their work and able to motivate others.  
  • Not afraid to challenge – both internal teams, partners and clients to achieve the best results. 
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and to think critically. 
  • Able to add value to conversations and meetings, to share opinions and question what is being done and why in the pursuit of continued improvement.
